McGregor Amplification has been manufacturing in the UK for over 30 years, with a range comprising 1 to 8 channel mono and stereo PA mixer-amps, 16 power amps, installation mixers and mixer-amps, zoners, disco systems for CD's, vinyl and karaoke, speaker cabs and powered speaker systems.  Quality and reliability are important here too, and the products are under an almost constant design review, with improvements added wherever possible.

The product line-up includes Mixer-Amps ranging from 'easy to operate' 100 watt two and four channel models suitable for use in aerobics classes and small installations in clubs, pubs and houses of worship, up to 1,300 watt stereo versions with 9 channels. PA SERIES PA6/250 and PA6/600 SIX CHANNEL MOSFET MIXER AMPLIFIERS WITH DIGITAL EFFECTS This 250w or 600w RMS mixer-amp is crammed with useful features. The first 4 channels offer a balanced/unbalanced XLR/jack combi Low Z mic input, gain with overload led, three band e.q., and sends to the built-in digital effects unit, outboard auxiliary and monitors.  Channels five and six are for mono or stereo line level signals with front panel summing phono inputs and rear panel jack inputs, plus gain, bass and treble and ppi's. The Mytek series of loudspeaker systems has been the result of extensive research into customer requirements.  Customers expectations of the new range were high and the list of requirements was to include the following:-

* Compact and light weight cabinets painted in black anthracite textured paint.
* Hidden handles and full length foam covered metal grills to ensure aesthetics appropriate for mobile or install.
* Separate subs for enhanced low frequency response and dual drivers for maximum cone area and optimum 4 ohm loading.
* High efficiency trapezoidal mid high cabinets for maximum vocal definition and crystal clear highs.
* Three way passive crossover system for improved acoustic performance.
* High power to size ratio to provide a big sound from the smallest possible enclosures.

A 12" or 15” Neodymium driver is passively crossed over to a 1" horn mounted compression driver and represents the entry level to the Mytek series.  Carefully selected drivers in conjunction with an optimally tuned cabinet and a two way crossover ensures exceptional vocal clarity and an impressive bass response, despite the small lightweight enclosures.

These full range, black anthracite painted speakers have a full-length foam covered metal grill and hidden recessed handles. Speaker mounting is via a 35mm top hat.

These compact, stereo 1U amplifiers have been designed for small bars that require up to three mics and three stereo line inputs with voice override options. The main objective is to cover all audio-visual and karaoke requirements in a venue where space is an issue.  When connected to a DVD/CD/CDG/MP3 player the potential of this amplifier is impressive.  Background music can be played in standard CD or MP3 format. Karaoke is achieved with CDG disks, and along with DVD/Satellite displayed on a plasma screen.  All this with an inbuilt digital effects processor at an output power of 100 watts or 250 watts per channel in only 1U of rack space.

THE SD14 COMPACT MODEL

The SD14 Compact console has to be an essential for any laptop DJ, and is available in three power ratings up to 650 + 650 watts per channel.  Supplied with front and rear protective lids, these consoles are simply the most compact and cost effective solution for mobile use.

THE SD15 2u CONSOLE

The SD15 is an extremely compact and complete disco / karaoke unit. This rugged console can house up to 650 + 650 watts R.M.S. (into 4 ohm) of amplification, and is supplied with front and back protective lids.  It also boasts a versatile low noise mixer with digital effects processor, a twin UHF radio mic, and a Cortex HDC1000 media player.

The media player can play WAV or MP3 files from either a USB memory stick or hard drive and can be used instead of a laptop or as well a laptop.

The system offers the DJ greater flexibility and reliability as well as the most compact user friendly console currently available.  The SD15 mixer section provides the karaoke presenter / DJ with the following features:-

The V12 Series Compacts marry the V12 mixer-amp with a digital audio controller, and are the ultimate solution for backing track singers and entertainers.

The console contains a mixer amplifier, twin UHF radio mics, and a fully featured Cortex media player in a single self contained, lidded console.

The standard V12 Compact has the following features - see V12 mixer amplifier series above for for power amplifier and mixer technical specifications.

*  Four comprehensive mic channels with low Z mic inputs on balanced XLRs, unbalanced inputs on 6.35mm jacks.

*  Each mic channel has vol, bass, mid, treble, reverb and aux level controls as well as PPI leds.

*  Four stereo aux line level inputs on rear mounted RCA phono sockets. Separate bass, mid and treble for each pair of channel level controls.
*  Digital effects processor with footswitch control and led active indicator.
*  Twin UHF radio mic. Media player with LCD display, pitch control, two USB inputs, multiple search facilities, footswitch pause, MP3 and Wav file formats.
* Tough black textured painted console with optimised viewing angles for LCD display. Front and back lids supplied.
* Covers available for the mobile user.  Variations of the standard V12 compacts are available, price on application.

THE MD12 DISCO CONSOLE

Ideal as an entry level DJ console or as a back up unit, this rugged, texturised black paint finished console contains a 650 watt R.M.S. mono fan cooled amplifier and a low noise mixer, and is supplied with front and back protective lids.  The MD12 mixer section includes:-

*  A comprehensive mic channel for balanced or unbalanced microphones with XLR and 6.35mm jack inputs.
* The microphone gain control is monitored by a peak programme indicator (PPI) led and drives dedicated bass and treble controls.
* Voice override (VOX) with level and led active indicator is standard, and an overall mic mute switch is incorporated.
* Music section has four 60mm level faders, a fully assignable Xfade and a four band graphic equalizer with optimised frequencies.
* Phono / line switching is provided on the Aux 3 and 4 inputs so vinyl turntable players can be connected when required
* Full headphone monitoring with separate headphone and master level controls.
* Console illumination an with on / off switch is provided by seven medium intensity blue leds.
* Additional illumination can be achieved with the optional12v, XLR fitting, led flexilight.
* Covers available for the mobile user.

100 VOLT LINE TRANSFORMERS - 100 watts or 250 watts.  These are connected to the output of 100w or 250w amplifiers or mixer-amps, and allow a 100v line signal to drive multiple speakers in a fixed installation, with very low loss and easy impedance matching.
