ATM CABLES
These cables are designed to provide the best mechanical and electrical properties available in any cable, at any price. The range leads with the well established SJTC signal multicore, and purpose-built SPL speaker cable, plus mic and instrument cables and new Low Smoke Zero Halogen multimode fibre optic cables.
SJTC
and UNI Individually Jacketed Multicore
The multicore jackets are formed with precise, talc lined ridges that cradle the cores in formation yet allow them to slide against one another. This makes the cable very flexible, but resists twisting and knots. The arctic grade polymer remains flexible down to -30°C, keeping it easy to use on even the coldest of nights, and it also absorbs impacts and slips over rough surfaces and edges without abrasion. Core numbers are printed every 20mm, and overall diameters are designed to fit industry standard connectors. The UNI range is equally suitable for digital and analogue signals

SPL Series Speaker Cable

|
This is a
purpose built OFC speaker cable with a jacket designed
for long lasting professional use. The wall thickness and elasticity
gives protection from knocks and scrapes on the road, and the
stranding is optimised for flexibility and and HF conductivity, but
not too fine for reliable termination. SPL cables match perfectly
with Neutrik and EP type connectors. |
Microphone
Cable
The ATM road-proof mic cable is flexible, noiseless and very rugged. The thick composite sheath shrugs off rough use, and cotton fillers eliminate microphony. It's exceptionally low capacitance, generous copper content, and a lapp screen all add up to transparent performance. Available in Black, Blue, Green, Red and Yellow.
TECHNOLOGY.
The secret of noiseless microphone cable is to combat both electromagnetic interference and mechanical vibration (microphony). ATM uses a twist technique and high grade lapp shield to reject electro-magnetic interference. The outer jacket material is chosen for resilience and pliability but also has vibration absorbing properties. Internal cotton fillers further reduce microphony. These features combine to give ATM accurate, noise free signal path performance.
CONSTRUCTION FEATURES
ATM twin conductors are neatly packed together. The pairs are orbitally spun round each other rather than twisted together. This reduces stress and holds conductors in natural formation, further enhancing electrical consistency and noise rejection. Pliability and rigidity are optimised for flexing without distortion to the internal build of the cable, and so without compromise to its characteristic impedance. This helps maintain the common mode rejection properties of the equipment to which it is connected.
The
combination of shield and conductor stranding and elastomer compounds
help maintain a balance of strength and flexibility. The 6.4mm
outer jacket diameter makes ATM suitable as a durable live, studio
and installation cable or as a heavy-duty patch cable. It fits
snugly into all the usual XLR connectors.

Starquad Cable
This
star configuration of ATM mic cable offers excellent noise rejection
whilst the lapped screening provides a very effective barrier against
radio frequency interference. Colours are Black, Red and Blue
Patch Cable
Patch
cable has all the benefits of the microphone cable in a four mm
jacket, and fits snugly into bantam plugs. Available in black, blue,
green, orange, red, purple, turquoise and white.
Digi-Series
The
aim of digital interconnection is to match sending and receiving
equipment and to minimise high frequency signal loss which can
"round off" rising edges of the digital signal - resulting
in corrupt data. When impedances don't match, the signal effectively
gets reflected in the cable causing corruption and timing errors.
The
Digi series are true 110 ohm impedance AES-EBU digital Audio cables,
available as single pair installation, microphone and multicore
formats. The resistance is reliably consistent, and the low
capacitance is due to the special polymer sheath. Core to core
capacitance is < 85pf/m, conductor to screen is <130pf/m.
Note:
Use 75 Ohm BNC connectors for SPDIF. Don't mix 50 Ohm and 75 Ohm as
this damages the BNC sockets!
WORDCLOCK CABLES - We can now offer wordclock cables, BNC to BNC connector, 75 ohm cable at £8.33 for 2 metre length, and £9.04 for 3 metres.

"Britain has had the
largest increase in tax legislation of all countries in the last
decade. The number of pages of the tax code has more than
doubled from over 4000 to over 9000. Even Stalin didn't have
9000 pages."
